Bookeasy – Terms & Conditions
The Company
BOOKEASY SOUTH AFRICA (PTY) LTD (hereinafter referred to as “Bookeasy”, “we”, “us” or “the Platform”), is a private company registered in South Africa with registration number 2026/151364/07.
Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using our website, app, or services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the site immediately. You also accept these Terms on behalf of all travellers in your booking and confirm you have authority to do so.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Our Services
Bookeasy is an online platform that connects guests with third-party accommodation suppliers (property owners, guesthouses, hotels – “Suppliers”). We act as an intermediary/agent only. Any booking you make is a direct contract between you (the Guest) and the Supplier. Bookeasy is not a party to that contract except for processing payments where applicable.
Bookings & Your Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for choosing the correct property, verifying all details, and ensuring suitability (dates, location, facilities, travel documents, visas, insurance, etc.).
- All information you provide must be accurate.
- Supplier-specific rules, house rules, and cancellation policies apply and are displayed during booking.
- We recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
Prices, Quotes & Payments
Prices are subject to change. Confirmed quotations are binding subject to availability. We accept credit/debit cards via secure gateways (e.g. PayGate) and other methods. Full payment terms are shown at checkout. We do not store complete card details.
User Content & Reviews
When you submit reviews, photos, or other content you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and promote it. You warrant you own the rights and that the content is accurate and non-infringing.
Intellectual Property
All content on our platform (logos, design, software) is owned by Bookeasy or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape, or commercially exploit it.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
We provide the platform “as is”. We do not guarantee availability, quality, safety, or suitability of any Supplier’s property. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookeasy’s liability is limited to the value of the booking fee paid to us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for Supplier performance, indirect losses, or events beyond our control.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be heard in the appropriate South African courts.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Important
Cancellation policies are set by each individual Supplier (property owner) and are clearly displayed during the booking process and in your confirmation email. Bookeasy does not set or override these policies.
Default Policy (if none shown)
All bookings and charges are non-refundable unless a more lenient policy is explicitly stated.
Typical Supplier Policies (examples – actual policy appears at booking)
- Flexible: Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival (full refund minus any booking fee).
- Moderate: Free cancellation up to 14 days; 50% refund between 14–7 days; no refund within 7 days.
- Strict / Non-refundable: No refund after confirmation.
How to Cancel
- Log into your Bookeasy account or reply to your confirmation email.
- Provide your booking reference.
- We will forward the request to the Supplier.
Refund Process
- Refunds (where due under the Supplier’s policy) are processed by the Supplier.
- Once we receive cleared funds from the Supplier, we will refund you within 8 business days to the original payment method (less any applicable admin fees).
- Credit-card refunds may take 5–10 additional banking days to appear.
Special Circumstances
- If the Supplier cancels your booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund (or rebooking assistance where possible).
- In cases of major disruptive events (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), we follow applicable South African law and may offer credits or refunds at our discretion.
- No-show or early departure: generally no refund.
Changes to Bookings
Any date or guest changes are subject to Supplier approval and possible extra charges. Contact us early.
